At Carter Animal Hospital, we prioritize your satisfaction above all else. In the rare event that you require returns, refunds, or reshipments, Covetrus Customer Support team is here to assist you. Please note the following guidelines:

Returns, Refunds, & Reships Qualifications for Returns

We gladly offer returns for items within 30 days of your original purchase. 

If you would like to request a return, please contact Covetrus Customer Support team with your order number. All returns must be pre-approved by Customer Supportfor credit to be issued.

These are important qualifications to keep in mind when returning an order:

• If your return request has not been pre-approved before returning your item, our Return Department will attempt to reach you via email. Please note that if you do not respond to this email, we unfortunately cannot issue credit. 

• Prescription items and controlled substances are unable to be returned due to state and federal laws. However, if the medication you received is incorrect or damaged, please call Covetrus Customer Support to begin a quality assurance case within 30 days.

• Refunds can take up to 7-10 business days to complete, though this may take longer during holidays and high-volume shipping times.

• Once your refund is complete, we will send you an automated email to confirm the details of your refund.

• Return shipping costs will be customer responsibility.

• Return policies may be subject to change without notice.
   

Over-The-Counter Return

• Over-the-counter products may be returned to the pharmacy for credit if they are unopened, not temperature-sensitive, and are returned within 30 days of the original purchase date. Exceptions to this policy will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Diet Return

• We offer a guarantee on all food and nutrition items. If your order arrives damaged or if you experience palatability issues with your pet, contact Covetrus Customer Support team and we will issue a replacement or refund as soon as possible.

  • You will not be required to return a food item. Please dispose of the food however you see fit. 

• Many nutritional items are fulfilled through our manufacturing partners. These items will not be eligible for cancellation once the order transaction is complete. Please confirm your product selection prior to ordering.
